The biggest mistake that people make in an MLM company is that they use the 3 foot rule-- that is that everyone they talk to they look to as a price that for their product. That may be a good strategy, but the problem with this is if you can hide everyone you talk to into signing up as a distributor, they eventually become deadwood because they have no real interest in selling the product and may not even like using the product. The best person to recruit as a distributor is someone who was already using the product and tell their friends about the product they are using.The second biggest mistake that distributors make when trying to recruit new distributors is to impress upon someone the large amounts of money that it's possible to earn, rather than letting them know that it can take you a year or two before you start receiving the income from the higher levels it is possible to reach. The best way to go about it is to learn about the products, use the products, and be able to list the benefits of each product. Once you learn about the products and you can tell someone how it has benefited you, then it makes it easy to help someone else repeat what you have done.A third mistake that distributors make is that they don't understand that each individual's personality is different, so some people have more of a problem in closing the sale or giving the individual to become a distributor of a product, then another person well. So the best strategy here is to learn about different personalities and have to utilize each individual's strengths and match them up with someone who has strengths in areas where the other individual has weaknesses and then pair them up together so they can help each other build a successful team.A fourth mistake is not looking at each individual's passion and how to incorporate that into who you recruit. Remember, in almost every aspect of business today there are companies who have incorporated MLM as a way of distributing their products. For instance, there is Mary K. for cosmetics, there is Target Training International or Inscape Publishing for training and assessment profiles, and in healthcare there are Herbal Life, Total Life Changes, and in insurance you have NASE and Primerica.Finally, the last mistake is not incorporating both online and off-line marketing as a tool to build a MLM. Today he every company has a website even MLM companies. So as a distributor you also get a replicating website which you can use the address they give you or you can purchase your own domain name and link the two together so people can purchase from you on line. Having a website keeps your business all but 24/7 so you can be selling even while you sleep.Remember, currently unemployed and it is over 10%, so why else someone is still getting unemployment benefits helping them start a business of their home which would give them another stream of income so if they lose that job they do not end up in crisis as many people are today. As we move into 2010 it is reported there is six people for each job and some of them are on the second and third round of unemployment. Each week 175,000 new people in America join a home-based business and all but 300,000 around the world are joining a home-based business. Yet even with less than 1% of the worlds population and Bob so far, it still has only A tiny fraction of its growth potential. Due to the Internet, you can recruit someone from a different country, not just individuals that you know personally.
