MLM Personality Series - The Investigative Green

Every network marketer knows (or should know) that multi-level marketing is a people-based business. Our product is not our nutrient drink, coffee, or compensation but plan, but our people, period. Therefore, the more we understand people and the different personalities, the more we add value to our leadership and the more we relate to other people, thus, growing our organizations.You want to come to a place in your leadership where you can begin to "speak their language." For example, your conversation with a money driven, direct-oriented, power player will be completely different with a nurturing, team-spirited personality. So knowing what to say and who to say it with will play a significant role in your prospecting success.There are generally four major personality categories and the goal of the subsequent articles is to provide a general overview of the various types while sharing pivotal points to include in your conversations. Let's begin today with the Green personality!The title reigns true for this analytical personality type. Your Green Personality are your left brains who want all the information, facts and figures, and will continue to do their research upon disconnecting the phone line with you. They ask tons of questions, ranging from the compensation plan, to the history of your organization, to the CEO's birthplace. Greens want to know it all so don't hold back! What you don't share, they will eventually find out.Your common characteristics of a Green Personality includes:• Analytical/logical• Crave facts, figures, and information• Tend to be perfectionist therefore can be hard on themselves• Asks a LOT of questions• Are not quitters• Normally do not make their decision on Day 1• Structured, organized, and will execute a planWhen a Green states that he/she will think about it and get back to you, believe them...they are really thinking about it. Weaknesses include sometimes taking too long to move to action, being closed, indirect, and always waiting on the perfect timing. Empower Greens by giving details illustrating a system that when implemented, yields results. And always, keep their "Why?" in the forefront, serving as a reminder of the very reason they've shown in interest in this grand industry!Once they've decided to pursue your business, you have a loyal, go-getter player who is ready to seize the opportunity!
