In 1992 James Ridinger founded a networking company called Market America Professional in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company is a product brokerage that specializes in mass customization. When people get involved with their company they call it "un-franchise" which basically offers a person all the benefits of a normal franchise without having any overhead expenses and fees that normally go along with franchises.Market America's has a large variety of products, everything from health, skin care, nutrition, etc. A lot of times they'll produce their own products that are popular at the time and use their distributors to go out and sell them. In addition to the thousands of products that they have, they also have an affiliation with other products and companies which allows them to sell these products through their website.Just like any other network marketing company Market America encourages un-franchise owners to go out and recruit as many people as they possibly can. As a un-franchise owner your potential to make a good income lies directly on your ability to recruit and build up a large down line. Every month you're required to make some many purchases from Market America. This might seem like a bad deal but when you look at a lot of the companies that Market America is affiliated with you'll notice that your probably already paying to use a lot of the products around the house. Things such as: cell phone, cable, home security, etc.Let me give you an example. Market America is an affiliate with a lot of cell phone providers. So instead of going to the local mall and buying a cell phone plan from a little kiosk stand that receives a portion of your monthly bill, you buy your phone plane through Market America and you receive the a small portion of your monthly bill. When you recruit people into company you also receive a small portion of all their purchases. Once you have a very large down line you'll be able to start making a significant income.I think that Market America is a legitimate business and a great opportunity for someone that has the proper skill and mind set to achieve success within the MLM industry. When I say proper skills I mean that they are willing and able to talk to everyone that they know with hopes that they'll join the company. It literally takes hundreds of people until a person starts to see success within a company like this, which can take a few years to accomplish.
