What Makes People Join a Particular Network Marketing Company?

Some say they want to have more money. Some say they want to have more control of their time. Some even say that the products work for them. Ask those who are involved in network marketing why they joined, and you will probably get many different answers.But could there be some reasons that are more common than others? I will go out on a limb and suggest that there are several reasons why the majority of people choose to join an MLM company. Some may not want to admit it but I feel that many people, if not most, decide to start a home based business in the network marketing industry for one of three reasons.Not in any particular order, here are three reasons why people begin their journey in the MLM industry. Number one: many people believe that network marketing is a type of business where not much work is required. In fact, many newcomers think that someone, meaning their upline, will actually build a business for them.This misconception about MLM is prevalent in the industry. In fact, some "leaders" will lead their prospects into believing that someone else will actually do the work for them and build their networking business. This is so wrong, however both parties must share some responsibility. The leader for misleading his prospects and the prospects for being so naive as to believe that someone will do all the work for them.A second reason why so many people become part of the network marketing industry is their belief that they will get rich overnight. Again, another misconception perpetuated by the industry. And again, the prospects also have to accept some of the responsibility. There is no such thing as overnight success, yet people buy into this pitch line all too often.One may even say that this is the greed coming out in people. They want to accumulate wealth yet they don't want to work for it. Common sense should tell you that this doesn't work. It never did and never will, but people continue to throw away hard earned money chasing such a false dream.Finally, a third reason why the MLM industry is growing by leaps and bounds relates to the misconception that this whole networking thing is easy to do. The truth is, it is not as difficult as some would have you believe, but it takes time to learn and develop the skills needed to become successful.How many times have you heard that all you need is to sign up three people? Or what about the line used by many, telling their prospect all you need is an hour a day to build a business? Those of us who have been in the business for years know the difference.People join network marketing for many reasons, but sometimes these reasons are based on false information and misconceptions.
