How Does the Current Economic Melt Down Impact Joe the Plumber?

You do not need to stop in on my blog to realize that the American Economy is in meltdown mode! It looks like all the king's horses and all the king's men are having a tough time putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. Corporations are in foreclosure and everyday there is a new company or storefront that has closed their doors. Lay-offs are on the rise. Times are tough. So what does that mean to former presidential hopeful John McCain's friend Joe the Plumber? How is the average Joe holding up and what are his options for the future?Well it depends on Joe's mindset. In his book "Think and Grow Rich" Napoleon Hill documents several department stores that burned down on a city street in 1877 in New York City. Certainly that was a time of economic meltdown for those stores and the average guys that were employed in those stores. Most of the owners of those establishments counted their losses and vanished into anonymity never to impact the American economy again. They took the disaster as the end of the road. They saw no way to resurrect prosperity out of ruins. Only one had the mindset to re-build his department store and reclaim his economic future. Marshall C. Fields rebuilt his department store on the same street corner where it had burned down. The store thrived for another century across America. The point is that if Joe thinks he is defeated he is. If he thinks that the current economic meltdown is the end of the prosperous road for him, then it is. If the average Joe thinks the road ahead will be plagued with financial lack and despair then that is where the road will take him. There is another option for Joe. He can discern the times and the marketplace trends in the world today and rebuild a prosperous future for himself and his family. In short he can refuse to participate in the recession. If Joe is smart he will discern that never before in history have there been more economic possibilities for the average citizen. Yes the big guys are breaking down and going bankrupt. But today Joe has options. Today the little guy can network with his friends and family and create a dynasty of wealth. The internet has opened up all sorts of possibilities to create a thriving business; in some cases there is little start-up cost involved. Joe must scrutinize the economic trends to understand that these are the worst of times, but they are also absolutely the best of times for the average and ordinary American to create an extraordinary financial future. Bottom line Joe, do not look back. Look up Joe. There is nothing but economic possibility on the road ahead! Seize the moment; optimize the trends and move beyond your losses to a new life and economic destiny.
