Live, Save, Earn, Give Green

Are you looking for a home based business to supplement or replace your income? How about a company that gives back to ensure that our planet remains green for generations to come?An old Indian proverb says "We didn't inherit our planet from our ancestors; we are merely borrowing it from our children." I believe this proverb says a lot! Just think of how profound this statement is. What is our planet going to be like in 10, 20, 50 or 100 years from now if we don't start to take care of it?What we do now has an enormous consequence in the future of our planet, the future of our children and many generations after. I see huge differences in the climate now compared to just 30 years ago. I remember moving to Florida from New York in 1971 and people were just asking me, how can I stand living down there it's so hot. My response was that the summer's are hotter in New York than here, it hardly ever gets in the 90's here. Well, let me just say that last year we had record breaking temperatures in the 100's for several days, if not weeks and it was in the 90's regularly. I believe this is a direct result of us not taking care of our planet and this is only one example of global warming.Now I ask you, what can we do? Well, it's the small baby steps that will make a difference. One way is by recycling. A lot of communities are now recycling both paper and plastic products. This is one small step we can take, but we must be pro-active and do it. All we have to do is to put it in the recycling bin, take it to the curb, and it doesn't cost us anything! A small baby step!Another way we can make a difference is by slowing switching out our products that we already do purchase. Some examples would be our laundry detergent, dishwashing soaps, glass cleaners, all purpose cleaners, shower and toilet bowl cleaners, our hair products, deodorant and toothpastes just to name a few. Think of the change we can make. The way we clean our cars, we can use a waterless cleaning product. There wouldn't be any soap suds running down the driveway and into our water supply anymore. All of these products can be changed and you wouldn't be spending any more money than you already are, you would just be switching your shopping habits.After the baby steps, we can take bigger steps and switch our light bulbs out and change our shower heads to more green friendly ones. Then eventually when our appliances are breaking down, buy more energy efficient ones. We don't have to do everything all at the same time...baby steps!Most people think that we have to have solar panels to really make a difference in the world. Yes, that helps but there are so many more things we can do without having to spend thousands of dollars. Now this is only our environment that I am talking about, our body is a whole other topic that I'm not going to go into. I just want to bring to your attention that it is the little baby steps, when we all take them together, that we can make a huge impact on our world today.There are a lot of home-based businesses that sell good quality green products and are trying to make a difference in the world. Try to find one that has good products, which has a company structure that can be easily duplicated, and has a good marketing system in place. Having a marketing strategy is imperative to a home based business. Remember, we are in this together and together we can make a difference!
