Working From Home Favors Entrepreneurs, Not Employees

Most people who want to work from home want to do so because they want to spend more time with their families. However, some people make the mistake of going to work for someone else because that's what they're familiar with. It is true that there are hundreds of work-from-home programs. Some of them are even well known companies such as 1-800-Flowers or U-haul. However, it is hard to spend more time with your family when you are still locked into a mode of trading time for money-even if you're saving time on the commute!Don't think you'll necessarily have the ability to jump up to play with your children any time you wish either. When you work for another company at home, you still have hours you have to log in to a system. You also are required to have a quiet space to work. Few of these businesses have tolerance for barking dogs or chattering children in the background.Becoming an entrepreneur isn't easy, of course. It takes a mentor to truly help you see your potential-or to understand what an entrepreneur really is. So many people get involved so heavily in the day to day grind of their business that they end up just buying themselves a job. Again, even if you manage to become your own boss you're not going to end up with that time freedom you were looking for.The option, then, is to lock into an opportunity that allows you to make money while having that time and money freedom. One thing you can do is to find a product to sell that has a high price point-something that results in a higher pay-out than say a pill, or a shampoo. Another thing you can do is to find a business model that helps you leverage the internet to the maximum advantage. You can work with another company to do this, but you need one that views you as every bit the entrepreneur that you actually are, rather than binding you around with rules and regulations about when your dog can bark and when your child can speak.
