The Five Pillars of Kindness - Frank Kern's Secret to Success

Have you ever heard of Frank Kern? He is probably the top earning internet marketer on the planet as well as one of the coolest, smoothest guys you'll ever encounter. Upon waking up this morning, I checked my email box to find an email from Frank Kern himself with an awesome video he put together that knocked my socks off. When Frank talks about marketing, I shut up, stop whatever I am doing and listen. I mean come on, the guy has made as much as $27 million in a year online and just last year he pulled in about $9 million in revenue on 1 product. Yep, just one!Do you think you and I could learn something from the guy? I am going to give you what Frank Kern shared with me so sit back, relax and take it all in.Pillar #1 - Know your list or audiences desired outcomeA lot of Internet Marketers have huge lists but make no money from that list. A true marketer will know it's niche market and what they want. To be successful in this game, you have to know exactly what people desire and help them get it.Pillar #2 - Overcome Their Skepticism With Shock and Awe KindnessOk, you are probably saying, "Josh, what the hell are you talking about"? Well, here it goes. When someone joins your list and opts in, they do so because they want to get one step closer to their desired outcome. It's your job to put your best foot forward and give them your best stuff for free. Don't hold back. It's all about developing trust with people and if you can deliver the goods, you're going to have that trust. Give them your "secret weapon" that you have used to produce the biggest results for yourself.Pillar #3 - Demonstrate That They Can Achieve Their Desired OutcomeYou want your list to know that they can do it. Doubt ruins ambition and when people are doubtful, they won't take another step further with you. You want to show them that other people are having the success that they desire. Show them testimonials and proof of what has happened for people in your program that have followed the system and have succeeded. Social proof is everything and the proof is in the pudding, per say.Pillar #4 - Give People The Tools UPFRONT that they need to get startedOffer people 5 FREE bonuses that will get them started in getting closer to their desired outcome. Depending on what your selling or trying to sell, this will be different in every instance. Give them something that they can walk away with and become successful even if they don't partner with you or buy anything from you. Once again, this goes a long way in earning peoples trust and giving them pure value. You want to be a value adder to peoples lives.Pillar #5 - Motivate People To Go FurtherYou want to make an offer to your list with their best interest in mind, not yours. If you follow the above steps and have created trust with your list, they will be motivated to go further because they see that you are someone of value and you have positioned yourself as an authority. When they see you have their best interest in mind, you will be able to do business with people for years to come, over and over again. In ClosingJust to recap the 5 pillars, you want to know peoples desired outcomes, help them overcome skepticism with coolness that blows them away, demonstrate that they can have success by using testimonials, give people the tools they need to get started and finally motivate people to take the next steps by keeping their interests in mind. This is the Iron-Clad process that Frank has used to create his empire and has now unselfishly shared it with me so that I in turn could in turn share it with you.Warm Regards,Joshua K. A Brief History Lesson of Multilevel Marketing (MLM)

Multilevel Marketing (MLM) has become a dirty word in America. (Yes, I know - it is technically a phrase, but just go with me on this one). When someone says "MLM," people instantly think of illegal pyramid schemes and shy away from you. The new politically correct term is "Network Marketing."However you want to say it, it is all the same thing: You make money by recruiting a network of team members to sell your company's product. The real incentive is in attracting more members to your team because you not only make money from selling the product yourself; you make money off your team members' sales. The more people you have selling for YOU, the more YOU make. Why has network marketing become the evil empire of the business world in the minds of many Americans? Because of pyramid schemes, which are now illegal. It is important to distinguish between the two. Why?- First, because you are going to face this barrier in trying to recruit your own sales team, and if you can not alleviate their fears, you have lost a potential recruit.- Second, you need to establish your credibility. It is just as important as establishing the product you are selling, if not more important.- Third, it is critical to your own success to NOT get caught up in a pyramid scheme - you have a greater chance of losing money than actually making any.So how do you tell the difference? Susan Ward, a partner in Cypress Technologies, an IT Consulting business, providing services such as software and database development, in her article "Is It MLM or a Pyramid Scheme?" offer the following advice:"The big difference between MLM and a pyramid scheme is in the business' operations. The entire purpose of a pyramid scheme is to get your money and then use you to recruit other distributors. The entire purpose of MLM is to move product. The theory behind MLM is that the larger the network of distributors, the more product the business will be able to sell"

Why Are We Teaching Direct Sellers to Share Rather Than Sell?

In direct sales and network marketing, you'll see most companies teach their consultants to "share" the products and opportunity rather than teaching them sales techniques. Why is that? Most likely because they know the consultants will be more comfortable sharing rather than selling. Sharing is something we do all the time and doesn't require any special skills. Selling on the other hand, involves numerous skill sets to be really good at it.The truth is, most people who start a direct sales business have little experience with sales and marketing. This is one of the reasons the failure rate is so high. You're told that if you love the products, you can't help it but share with everyone you know, and your enthusiasm will make others want to buy too. But getting others to buy isn't as simple as just sharing the products. There's no doubt that you need to be enthusiastic about your products and business opportunity, but there's a big difference between sharing and selling. Direct sales and network marketing is a sales and marketing job and it takes work to learn the right set of skills to do well in this business. There's a difference between sharing and selling. If I tell someone that I love to shop at Trader Joe's, I'm sharing because I'm not being compensated. But if I tell them about my company's amazing skin care products, I'm sharing with the intention of selling, so my motives are completely biased. Sharing and selling is not the same. Why do you suppose people are uncomfortable even when they're told to "share" their love for the products? Because deep down they know they're selling. If they're just sharing, they wouldn't feel uncomfortable doing it, because we share our favorite restaurants, movies, and things all the time. But when we're told to share the products and opportunity we're representing, the dynamics completely change because we know we're getting paid to tell others about our business.Instead of telling consultants that don't sell, but share, tell them it's a sales job. If you want to become a top notch distributor then you will need to learn all the necessary skills to excel at this business. Sales professionals are trained extensively on how to sell- not how to share. The selling cycle is complex and there are a ton of skills required before the actual selling can even begin. Selling is much more than just saying: hey would you like to buy our best selling eye cream, or we've got the best compensation plan? Experienced direct sellers and network marketers know that selling takes time such as sifting through prospects, asking open-ended questions to pre-qualify their prospects, and evaluating their prospects to see if they're really interested. You don't have a prospect until someone has an interest in your product and is willing to pay for it.So let's be honest: direct sales or network marketing, is a sales job and it takes work if you're planning on making a good income as a consultant. Mastering sales and marketing takes people years and years to learn and top distributors never stop learning. The next time you have the urge to share your products, remind yourself that you're in the business of selling, and if you're still using the sharing tactic with little success, it's time to pick up some books and learn the art of selling and marketing.Last time I checked, I couldn't find a book on how to share but there are plenty on how to sell and market your business.

How to Make Money Online From Home and Maximise Your Results

The world is full of people who wish that they were able to make money online from home. Some people feel that they are stuck in dead end jobs and are desperate for a change and other people have been unfortunate enough to have lost their jobs and need to generate an income in order to take care of their families. One thing is for certain though, no matter how you decide you are going to make money online from home, in the beginning it is always very difficult to decide upon a clear direction and actually put your plans into action. There are always many things to consider in the ever-changing world of online business. The first thing you will need to do is develop a great marketing strategy for your new business. The one thing many business owners have a problem with is deciding which strategy will work best for them. Considering all the different marketing tools and techniques available to help you make money online from home this is no wonder. There are many free options available but there are also options such as Pay Per Click advertising that have the potential to earn you a fortune but at the same time lose you a fortune if you don't know what you are doing. One mistake many people make when they first set out to make money online from home is using too broad a marketing strategy. They get so excited about the different ways they can advertise their products and services that they end up spreading themselves too thinly instead of mastering one strategy at a time and becoming proficient in it. Overall results turn out to be less than expected because they try to do too much at once. They quickly blow their marketing budget and they end up losing money before they have even made any.The best way to move forward in your efforts to make money online from home is to choose one marketing strategy at a time, concentrate on it and become proficient at it. For example, if you have chosen article marketing as you strategy, commit yourself to writing at least five articles a day, five days a week. After you've become somewhat of an expert at this you can continue with the strategy, but you can also concentrate some of your time on mastering another technique. This way you will always get maximum results from your efforts and will not be throwing money away. When you have mastered a few different marketing techniques you can bring them all together into one overall strategy and divide your time equally between them. A typical day may include one hour spent on social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, two hours spent writing articles and submitting them to article directories, one hour spent on your blog, one hour in the forums and discussion groups, and another hour on product development or improvement of your service.Your strategy to make money online from home should consist of several different marketing techniques, however, if you are new to the business, start slowly and become an expert in one before moving to another. This will be the key to your success and keep your hared earned money in your pocket.Having the patience and willingness to learn all the different aspects of online business is without a doubt the best strategy to move forward and be able to successfully make money online from home. There is no quick and easy money to be made on the Internet. It requires hard work, commitment and sometimes a lot of trial and error.

It's Time to Take Back Our Economy

The massive achievements and accomplishments of the American people often pale in comparison to the devastation and pain that this Nation suffered during the Great Depression of the 30's. The most severe economic crisis of modern times shut down businesses, caused banks to fail and unemployment to soar. Pictures of breadlines are burned into the psychic make-up of this nation. The impact on the people and the nation was dark and devastating; the impact has also been enduring. In fact today we as a nation are traumatized as we face the recessionary effects of our day.Fifteen years of counseling people through devastating problems has revealed to me that in the face of a crisis, by and large and with few exceptions, the first response in a crisis is to "awful-ize and catastroph-ize." The focus is always the problem and its horrendous effects. The fear is always "this is it...the thing that will take me down and my life will never be the same!" Devastation is the threat while there is little hope that there is a solution; there is no thought that this issue could be the springboard to a better life. This reminds me of the story of the canary that found himself trapped in the cage with a serpent that was only inches away. The bird saw the threat of his impending death as he focused on the snake's open mouth and ultra-sharp fangs. He failed to recognize that he was next to the door of the cage and it was wide open! In the midst of what appeared to be certain doom the canary could not see the open door to an opportunity for escape and he forgot that he could fly!Today as the recession intensifies and the threat of an economic depression looms over us, we cannot but reflect on the devastation of the Great Depression. Is that where we are headed? Is this the national blow that will destroy us? As the guy on the Allstate commercial says, "why not let this be the recession that Defines Us?" There is value in learning from history so that we do not have to repeat it. Since the Titanic went down ship-builders have learned the importance of life-boats, lots of them! Eighty-one-years of technology have evolved since the great depression. Today we have options!I will say without equivocation that today America's greatest economic asset is the pulsating force of the spirit of the entrepreneur. To compliment this force, the technology of leveraging our time and money to create exponential financial rewards is thriving in the face of economic threats. Even with lay-offs and fewer traditional jobs, online/home-base businesses are thriving. There are as many as 80-million internet searches daily in North America alone for topics related to online/home-base businesses. That is 80-million potential customers/sales a day! Be Encouraged! The serpent's mouth may be open and you may feel the force of impending doom, but the door is open to a whole new opportunity to maximize the value of your life and destiny! Be Bold! Walk through the door. It is Your Time to Fly!

Building a Loyal Team

One of the biggest issues in MLM is the drop out rate. I have explored legitimate reasons to change companies in a previous article, so here I want to address how to keep people through the "minor" bumps. What might cause someone to drop out?
Problems with the products
Disagreement with someone else in their upline
Lack of success
Let me know if you think of any others I should address in another article! But for now, let's address these 3.Every company has a product glitch now and then. Sometimes the product is so popular, they can't make it fast enough and back orders happen. Sometimes they change the formula and not everyone is thrilled. Perhaps there is a labeling error, or a recall based on safety concerns. These are all things the company can work their way through, but how do you keep your distributors from quitting in the meantime? It is all based on the groundwork you laid. Getting to know your people, recognizing their personality type, and helping them improve themselves and learn new skills will win their loyalty. Then when these obstacles come up, you can reassure them that the situation is temporary and they will actually believe you. If no relationship exists between you and your distributors, your communications to them about these issues may fall on deaf ears!I have two personal examples of the second cause. In a former company, my sponsor's sponsor was trying to get me to attend an event. If you have read my other articles then you know I do believe in attending company events, but I also believe people sometimes have a legitimate reason why they can't go. I had what I felt at the time was a good reason. So this guy says to me, "you will fail if you do not attend this event." Now that is a pretty strong statement. I am smart enough to know that when the company was founded, this particular event didn't even exist, and yet the original distributors somehow succeeded without it, didn't they? Hmmm...he REALLY ticked me off!The second instance is in my current company. On a training call, someone in my upline came down very hard on me (and some other people) right there in front of our peers. Whether or not we needed a lesson is actually irrelevant, although I still personally feel he was at much at fault for the misunderstanding as anyone else. The point is that he really ticked me (and some other people) off! When something like this happens on your team, you must reassure the offended person that sometimes disagreements happen and to not let it rent space in their head. Again, if your relationship with them is strong, they will be grateful for your sympathy or empathy and will move past the problem. I did!The third issue again is one of relationship building. Get to know your people. Plug them in to a great training system to get the skills they need. Help them recognize both their strengths and their weaknesses and what to do with them. And reassure them that a successful team is not built overnight and they need to be patient and persevere. If you are not yet as successful as you would like, and don't have a great personal story to share, then find someone in the company who does have that story and do a 3-way call. The most important thing here is, don't just work with your successful distributors. When someone is not succeeding, if they are truly not working the business as you have coached them, plug them in to self development and let them work on themselves. If they are trying to work hard, find out what they need to change. Help only those who want help, but if they do want help, do not ignore them! It only hurts your credibility in the long run.Success in MLM is all about retention. You don't want to spend your entire life recruiting new people! So realize in advance that these challenges will come up and be ready to face them.

Advocare Training That Will Put You in the Company's Top 10 Business Owners

Advocare training can come in many leadership styles, but the only training that matters for you is the training that gets results when it comes to sponsoring and increasing product volume. Being in business since 1993 is frankly quite an achievement in the networking industry. With that in mind you would think that the company has taken an innovative approach with independent business owners as the marketing knowledge and tactics since that time have expanded greatly. Unfortunately, here like in many other companies that's not the case.I'm often reminded in networking just like in many other types of businesses how slow some things are to change and the Advocare Training component is no different. With seasoned leadership at the company and a product line that focuses on a very profitable niche like weight loss with the Slimpact Bundle, sponsoring your friends, family, neighbors and relatives are still the promoted method of choice and I cringe when I hear this. I cringe for the poor souls that become lost in the network marketing mantra of embarrassing tactics, weak posture and losing battles. There are so many other opportunities that are being missed with this mindset.Network marketing leadership isn't about position, it's about action and if you're going to take action...take meaningful action. Action that gets results. Action that's proven to work. Build a real business that has a foundation that would apply to building any network marketing business.Your Advocare Training Should consist of:1. Getting an endless supply of targeted leads for product sales and sponsoring.2. Selling the benefits of the product and company, not the features.3. Putting a marketing funnel system in place that does this in an automated way by leveraging the internet.4. Position yourself through a blog and social media using proven strategies.5. Rinse and repeat for other products or any business. The benefit that Advocare training can have if done right is that the target market of overweight people is an emotional buy. If people need results (benefits not features), give them testimonials. If they try the product and use it properly, they'll become a testimonial and a certain percentage will join the business. Leading with the product if it provides tangible results is a powerful way to build the business. In fact, those people will become advocates for the life changing results they got with the product. What about other Advocare Training?By having Advocare product users as advocates to increase your product volume and network marketers to build organizational stability and depth, you can solve the two biggest problems any network marketer faces.Question: How do you grow your organization in the fastest way possible?Answer: Sponsor other network marketers.Question: How?Answer: By learning the principles of Web 2.0 attraction marketing and social marketing on the internet to create a lead funnel system that generates scores of leads for you every single day.The question is now: Do you want your Advocare business to flounder, just get by or thrive?Yes, it takes time to learn about the process of leveraging the internet to build an Advocare business for long term growth. The fact is, there no better time to learn than right now because the tools and training available have never been better than they are right now. Get with the program. Build a system. Prosper to the top of your Advocare organization.
