Now, what product are you using and what is solving a problem for you. Now in the 17 areas, they have many products, so you want to get specific on the product that you are keying on.As an example, maybe you are excited by a product that gives you energy. It could be caused by a medical issue, and if you say that you are not sure if it will help them, but it gave you more energy, it may open up some marketing channels. How to Become a Successful Business Mum Or Mompreneur

Is life more difficult for women today compared to what it was in days gone by?One hundred years ago women were regarded as second class citizens. They were encouraged to consider the interests of men folk over their own. They were generally reared to become full time wives and mothers. Their options in life were very limited especially for working class girls who had even fewer choices than their middle class counterparts. Education for girls was limited to the 3 R 's namely reading, writing and arithmetic along with a little geography and history. The biggest chunk was allocated to that of domestic subjects such as needlework, house management, cooking, laundry work and childcare.Even though the age for compulsory school attendance raised to fourteen in 1899 many working class girls often left earlier provided that they had the necessary labour certificate that enabled them to enter poorly paid jobs in domestic service. Women were not even regarded as worthy enough to vote which left them powerless to change their circumstances and improve their lives. The way out for many women was to get married and become stay at home mums as their working class husbands would have been against them going out to work.The only contribution that women in these times would have been able to make to supplement the household income would have been to take in laundry or lodgers or to ask neighbours or friends for help.Often women would have large families and would often go without food themselves in order to ensure that the husband got fed. Life was very hard especially as all cleaning tasks involved hard labour as there were none of the household appliances that we now take for granted like our washing machines and vacuum cleaners to name but a few. Heating and cooking was obtained via an open coal fire which involved carrying constant heavy scuttles full of coal. Men did not help women with household chores as this was regarded as being the woman's work.However women began to tire of this treatment and in 1903 Emmaline Pankhurst founded the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) which was a women's only organisation. They in particular campaigned for women to have the right to vote as they felt this would greatly help improve their conditions. She believed that women "would remain a servant until they lifted themselves out of it". The organisation sought to bring equality for women in the family.In today's times women are still not quite equal but we have travelled a long way from the wretched conditions that existed for women one hundred years ago. Currently it is a fact that 21% of U K women get paid less than men for full time working, there are only 4 female chief executives in the FTSE 100 companies and the 30,000 women are expected to lose their jobs each year due to becoming pregnant.Despite these bleak figures there is no doubt that life is still better now and women have more choices available to them. The introduction of birth control has reduced the burden of women having to rear large families and modern household appliances have reduced or certainly made everyday chores easier to complete. Most houses now have central heating and hot water and more importantly women now have equal access to all forms of education and are no longer regarded as second class citizens.However if could be argued that women have it harder now as quite often they do not have the option of becoming stay at home mums. Most have to return to work after maternity leave as the husband's income alone is often not high enough to cover the household bills. We have sadly become accustomed to the luxuries that two salaries provide namely nice houses, more than one car per family and annual family holidays abroad. Also there is often the need to supplement children who are encouraged to go to university to further their education hence the need for two incomes.Whilst some women welcome going back to work as it offers a welcome change from domestic chores, others resent having to leave their new little bundle of joy and become resentful especially when they have the added pressure of commuting to and from work.There is however an alternative that offers a healthy balance between the two namely finding an opportunity to work from home. There are many business opportunities for women whereby they can start up a business from home. This enables them to have the best of both worlds. They can earn a second income but more importantly they can work flexible hours based around their family needs hence creating more personal and financial freedom. Many women choose to work when their babies are sleeping or if their children are at school they work around school hours. I was tweeting this morning and came across some sad news in "current events." Actor Peter Graves, who portrayed secret agent Jim Phelps in the Mission:Impossible TV series, passed away. You might also recall his role in the comedy movie "Airplane."I loved Mission:Impossible and since I was looking for new article ideas, I could not resist exploring how MLM is like Mission:Impossible!Now, we all know that MLM success is NOT impossible, since we all know some people who have succeeded (some wildly so!) However we are also often reminded of the low percentage of people who succeed. So just what did the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) Leader so when he got his assignments (that self-destructed in 60 seconds!)Pick the agents who will work the assignment

Pull it off!Choosing your MLM "secret agents" involves targeting people likely to be leaders. Some believe in targeting people with MLM experience while some believe you should avoid them. That's the subject of another article!When it comes to having a great plan, that is really a great system for education, prospecting, and following up that everyone who joins your team can plug in to. And the system also gives you some of the gadgets.So what about cool gadgets and special effects? All spy shows have them (James Bond anyone?) I don't know if it is still there, but in 1998 I visited a very cool restaurant called The Safe House in Milwaukee where they have all sorts of spy stuff including a 1-way mirror in the ladies room and even a secret entry! We really don't have to rely on smoke and mirrors to succeed in MLM but we do need to stay abreast of technology. Very few people succeed today with strictly the phone, mail, and meetings! And the rules have even changed for the phone with the national "do not call" registry. There are rules governing the usage of email lists as well that we must follow.You can't do MLM without a website these days, and your company replicated site just isn't going to do the whole job either because it doesn't brand YOU. You should also understand and use social media. So far I am getting along without a "smart phone" but I am sure I'll get one someday soon!What about disguises? I have seen some people do some very deceptive things in MLM and I don't agree with those tactics, nor do I use them myself. There is just one instance where you might need to "withhold" what business you are in (and you are not pretending to be something you are not; you are just not telling the whole story!) When you are advertising your website and branding yourself you will come across some websites that censor information and prohibit the mention of MLM or network marketing. You can either avoid them, or you can do as one of my mentors suggested and "think outside the box."At first I thought this was a waste of time, since it certainly makes it more difficult to target the right people and give them a "call to action." But then I got to thinking, what is wrong with a "2 pronged" approach? On the websites that do not censor, go ahead and mention MLM and ask people to visit your site, download your ebook, order your DVD, or whatever gets you leads. On the sites that do censor, just cover more general topics of interest to anyone who does business by networking and serving people. You can still have a link to your website and if the viewers/readers like you, they will check it out.I hope this has been helpful. Using Social Media Properly to Build Your MLM Business

Social media was not invented for marketing your business! This might be hard to believe when you watch how it is too often used these days! But there are respectful and proper ways to accomplish marketing on social media.First let's discuss the wrong way, which is what the majority of MLM people are doing these days. The wrong way is to blast your opportunity at everyone you can find, without knowing if they have any interest at all, and hope somebody bites. It is especially wrong to do this over and over after you've been told they are not interested! (why, oh WHY do people do this?)The right way is to build relationships. The reason people avoid this method, is because it is "too slow." However I personally believe that if you take the time to get to know people, you will have less rejection and more long-term loyalty. Here are some steps to consider:Find the ideal prospects
Introduce yourself briefly
Engage in conversation which is focused on THEM, NOT YOU
Assess their personality type
Appealing to their personality, find out if there is any interest
Allow them to make their own decision I will focus here on Facebook and Twitter since those are the platforms I use, but I am sure you can figure out how to apply the steps to any social media site.How do you find the ideal prospect? In Facebook, I look in groups focused on MLM. On Twitter, I set up keyword alerts in a service program (like Socialoomph) and go through the emails I receive looking for people I'd like to meet.To introduce yourself on Facebook, send a "friend request" with a short personal message explaining why you want to connect. I always mention that I am seeking people interested in MLM to avoid people who are biased against it. I still end up with people who are not in MLM, but many find my training helpful anyway (especially the personality typing.) On Twitter, follow them and you can send a direct message to introduce yourself if you want.On Facebook, I look for common interests besides MLM in their profile and ask them about these. Sometimes it's a state we've both lived in. Sometimes it's a love of animals. On Twitter, some people have a little information on their profile page but often there's not much to go on. In that case you need to follow their tweets for a while to see what they talk about. The most important point here, is to focus on the other person. Briefly answer questions they ask about you but try to get to know them.The personality types will help you know what motivates people so you can communicate in "their language" (contact me for more on this.)You can use the personality types to offer your opportunity in a way that is most likely to appeal to them. Some want to help others; some want to have fun; some want to learn constantly; some just want to make money.Finally, do NOT be attached to the outcome! You are communicating with adults and they have lots of things going on in their lives. Respect their decision. Perhaps this is just not the right time and they may come back to you later, if you have been respectful. They will NOT come back if you have been pushy, or tried to close them! Remember to always treat everyone with the respect you want for yourself!I hope this gives you some ideas about using social media as it was intended, to build relationships.
