Working for yourself is the way to make a killing. Duplication is the key. Make more money while you sleep then you do at work.These slogans are stated over and over as the keys to financial freedom. So they say.These are good ideas, but are they the key? I say NO.If it were really that easy we all would be richer then are wildest dreams, but in reality where I live. Only one percent of the population ever really make it. The rest of us are just swimming up stream lying to ourselves about how great our life is. When we really know how terrible it really is driving to work Monday morning we again lie to ourselves that our next great idea will really work and get us to the promise land that we all dream about.But most of the time it's a miserable failure just like the last thing we tried was. Now why is that. Is it because what we were selling was a piece of junk or the service sucked? No it's not that the product sucked. It's that you sucked at it and it is your fault. Why? Because there was someone that had to be making money at it. That caused you to say I can do that. If that idiot can do it I can. I am smarter brighter and better looking them him or her. But if you are reading this article you apparently are not, smarter, brighter, or better looking. Well you could be better looking but, are you any richer?No you just look like a bigger fool to the person who you told promised that this time would be different then the last and you were going to make it just you watch. I am going to prove you wrong. Am I right? Yes I am, but there is an answer that will make everything work.That answer is belief. Yes its that simple. If one believes then they take action, and action produces results. Results reinforce your believes. Which cause you to repeat the process all over again. So the formula is Belief, Action, Results.Some say it cant be that simple. But it is, life's hardest things in life are that simple. Think about the last time you did something hard in life and really accomplished it. You first had to believe then you took action, and through the action you saw results which kept you repeating the action over and over again. Do this in business or your life and you will reach what ever you want in life. It's that simple.

Are You a Part-Timer in MLM?

The majority of people who are in an MLM opportunity also have a "day job". In fact, Tom "Big Al" Schreiter recently wrote an article on his website about when to leave your day job, and his advice is not to leave too soon!When trying to decide if your MLM business is paying you enough to quit your traditional job, you must remember several things:
Your MLM check does not have taxes withheld
You must pay for your own medical insurance
You have some expenses in your business that you need to cover
There will be some variability in commissions that you might not have had in your day jobIf you own a traditional business you are already facing these issues but if you work for someone else, keep these in mind.Now, how do you manage your time to do your job well and still grow your business? My husband had a job many years ago, just out of high school, where he was testing air conditioners. He was locked in a special environmentally-controlled and soundproof room all day. Nobody was allowed to enter. All he had to do was take a few readings hourly. Looking back, he thinks that would have been the best time to attend college at night since he could do homework and study all day. I look at that job and think, "man what a great job if your are building an MLM team!"My part-time job has advantages too:
It is part time, only 3 days a week, so I have 4 days off every week
I get over 2 hours for lunch and can be home in 5 minutes
I don't have to leave the house until 8:15 and get home around 6
I have "down time" throughout the day
I have Internet access and can do things online during my "down time"
My boss understands MLM and doesn't mind me doing a few things while thereOf course, I know that many people don't have it this good! But what can you do in a more traditional job?One lady I know does lab work all day and doesn't have to talk to people very much. She downloads educational conference calls to her iPod and listens to them during the day. You can also use commuting time to do this. Since I have a short commute, I use the time in my car to recite my affirmations to program my subconscious mind. I sometimes listen to educational CDs while running errands.Even if you can't go home for lunch, can you get to a computer with Internet access or use a smart phone during lunch or other breaks? You can be on social media sites from that smart phone, or blogging or writing articles from the computer! Even if you have to bring a laptop to work, if your office has WIFY you could get tons of things done on your breaks. And of course you can call people on your cell phone. Just don't get caught doing these things when you are supposed to be working! You cannot let the quality of your work slide because you are building a business.Here is another fun idea I got from Tom's fortunenow website. There is a short book entitled "How To Get Rich Without Winning the Lottery" and you can get them on his site. This book describes several wealth-building strategies, with a heavy emphasis on network marketing. If you own your own business, you can certainly put your contact information in a book and leave it on a table in your waiting area. If someone shows interest, tell them they can borrow it and get a commitment for them to bring it back (so you can ask what they thought of it!) If you work for someone else this might be tricky, but you could write your name inside the cover if everyone knows you, and leave a copy on your desk. If your manager asks, tell them it is your personal copy, and you can put it away if necessary. Maybe you could also leave a copy in the restroom, or the coffee room, or the lunch room. Read the book on break in a location where people can see you. Maybe you can put your full contact information in it and leave it somewhere around town?I hope I gave you a few new ideas! Time management is an important skill, especially when juggling a job and a business.

Have you ever encountered a salesperson that would not take "No" for an answer? Last week a senior citizen came a knockin', pitching a local dry cleaner, insisting I at least give them a try as he stuffed one of their plastic clothes bags in my hand. (Those Jerry Seinfeld Show fans would immediately recognize that this guy must have graduated from the Morty Seinfeld School of Salesmanship.)You are probably saying that is the way sales people are. Pushy. What does that have to do with me or network marketing?Every time some of you send out an email pitching your network marketing business without first building a relationship with that email's recipient, you are pulling a Pushy. Each time you write a catchy subject line just to get your email opened such as "Info You Requested"(when no info was requested), yup, that is also a Pushy. Oh, this one I really love: you tell me that you want me to check out this website and give you my opinion (an obvious ploy to lure me to your website so I'll fall in love with your network marketing company and ride off into the sunset with you)...Pushy, Pushy, Pushy.Any wonder, with such deceptive techniques practiced by only a few, why network marketing is characterized as a pyramid scheme which attracts a bunch of zealots? You remember the old proverb: one bad apple spoils the bunch. One Pushy network marketer who constantly floods email inboxes with an endless stream of spam promoting his/her business opportunity is enough to taint all the rest of us trying to brand ourselves and build our businesses by first establishing a relationship.Fortunately I have encountered very few of these "bad apples" in my network marketing career. Multi-Level Marketing - What it Is

The term multi-level marketing has been around since the 1800's. The two names you might be familiar are Henry Heinz and Asa Candler. Heinz sold ketchup and pickles, while Candler sold a cola syrup. Both men began building teams of other sales people, paying them a commission to go out and sell these products. The more men they recruited to sell, the more volume they created and the more money everyone made.By the early 1900's, three companies were started: Watkins, Fuller Brush and Avon. All three companies are still around today and still helping people like you and I become independent business owners in the world of multi-level marketing. Today, there are hundreds of companies out there and new companies being started each and every year. While I am very aware that today there are also many scams out there, this article refers to legitimate multi-level marketing with a true product and true sales involved.It is this very question that can help you answer whether something is legitimate or possibly a scam. What does it take to make money? If you recruit one hundred people who never bought or sold anything, would you make money? If the answer is yes, you might be looking at a scam. Thinking back to the 1800's, no money was made unless ketchup and pickles were sold. That same concept is still true today. No money should be made by anyone unless a true product is sold to an end use consumer.Looking at the three companies I mentioned from the early 1900's, you have true products being bought and sold. Think of a grocery store. The manufacturer sells the product to the grocery chain. The manufacturer makes a profit. The grocery store then sells the product to the consumer. The grocery store now makes a profit on this same product. In some cases, say a Little League concession stand, the Little League now takes this very same product and they too make a profit by selling it to the game watcher. One product, three different groups making a profit.This is what multi-level marketing is. A company manufactures a product. That company sells the product to the sales distributor. That sales distributor then sells the product to the end user. In multi-level marketing, the distributor also has the opportunity to build a team of sales people. In return for building a team of sales distributors, the company will pay the original distributor a small stipend for bringing in more sales to the company through their team.In a true legitimate MLM set up, the recruiter should be training and mentoring their team to help everyone create more sales. Multi-level marketing has been around well over one hundred years. It's a legitimate way to earn money as long as real products are being bought and sold.
