When someone tells you "no I'm not interested", it does not mean "no" it simply means "this is not the right time for me." A positive mindset!Skill set is the second component of making your dream a reality. In order to succeed and be effective you must know your product and use your product of your home based business. Why would someone join your team if you do not use the product yourself? You must be an example of your business! You must teach the people that you bring in your business this very important lesson. Teach by example. Show them how to get prospects. Have a goal such as; how many prospects you will call in a day or a week? How will you show your prospects your business? What will you say to your prospects? How are you going to follow-up with your prospects? When you sign up your prospects, how will you help them get started? Skill set is an extremely important part of your business; it lays down the foundation towards longevity of your home based business.Execution is the third component for the longevity of your business. You have probably heard the phrase, "don't be a cowboy," used to mean "don't get too creative with your job" or "don't go off and do your own thing."One of the things you really need to be successful in MLM is a great system for education and prospecting. That system needs to include:
A method for getting fresh, targeted leads
Education on what to do with the leads once you get them
A method of tracking what is happening with each lead
A method of tracking the success of advertising campaigns
An autoresponder
Conference calls to share testimonials, introduce new team members, and train
Self development training
The system could be provided by the company, or by a team within the company. When you have such a system in place, and it is producing results, this is "duplication." Every new person gets "plugged in" and uses the same system for success.If your company or team has a really good system in place, and it is producing results, do NOT be a "cowboy" and go invent your own! Be coachable and use the system that is in place, and teach your new team members to do the same. Why in the world would you want to go to the trouble and expense of creating something new, when you already have something that works? The Law of Attraction has a beautiful way of providing exactly what you need when you need it, once you have made the decision to do something. But the decision has to come first! That took quite a while to sink in for me.So to summarize, if your company or team has a great system and it is producing results, USE IT! Do not reinvent the wheel. If no such system exists, INVENT IT! And do not wait to start on it until you have every detail worked out. I've mentioned many times how fond I am of Facebook. It's truly my favorite social media network for a multitude of reasons.One of the things I like about Facebook is the opportunity to play their games. One of the games is a treasure hunt type of game. You collect treasures trying to complete collections. Each collection completed earns you game dollars.Anyone who is your "friend" on Facebook is automatically your friend in this game. When I first began playing the game, I only had a handful of friends on the game as most of my friends were not playing. Within the game you are able to trade with other friends. I quickly learned I needed a larger team. I began taking part in discussions on the message boards and quickly grew my number of friends.There are so many lessons to be learned here:1. People are attracted to others who share a similar interest. By saying yes to being my friend, they know I might trade treasures with them. In network marketing, grow your circle of friends by letting people know how you can help them. People want to be with those who help them.2. Being known as someone who is helpful will help you grow your group. I talk daily on the discussion boards. I help anyone who asks. I give away treasures, asking nothing in return.
